L/D Rulers

These rulers provide some common planning information and tools.

On the left, basic takeoff and landing checklists.
On the right, V-Speeds from the POH. The Vne values at altitude are based on either POH provided values or calculated IAS base on a standard atmosphere and the POH Vne at sealevel.
In the center, the information for the specific glider and the derating information.
On the top and bottom are scales to measure expected glide base on the derated L/D. They are drawn to be used on standard Sectional Charts. Place the desired arrival altitude tick on the destination and read out the required altitude at your location.

They can be printed from most browsers (Chrome seems best but others work). It is recommended that you set margins to 0.25" in the priter setup.
